War on Terror :
We know that the our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan and the War on Terror needs…
War on Terror :
We know that the our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan and the War on Terror needs to come to and end, but we can't just pull our troops out over night. We will however authorize a troop drop down which will allow us to gradually take our leave and allow these nations to attempt to support and govern themselves.
National Security :
We believe that it is necessary to respond to any legitimate threat or direct attack on the United States as it is our duty to serve and protect all U.S. citizens. But we also believe that some conflicts can be resolved through peaceful means and do not always need to involve guns and violence, so we will only turn to declaration of war as a last resort.
Libya :
We do not believe that it is necessary for the United States to get involved in the conflict that has begun in Libya. We do not want a repeat of what happened in Iraq, and putting troops there will not help us keep that goal. And we believe that it was especially unnecessary to authorize the use of army ships and aircrafts in this area without first allowing the controversy to pass through congress.
Illegal Immigration :
We do believe that allowing illegal immigrants to continue to live in the U.S. is wrong but we do not support harsh deportation laws or breaking up families. We will work to make our borders more secure so that it is more difficult for them to enter illegally and we will also try and make it easier for immigrants to become U.S. citizens.
